FSH menopause urine test is a one step rapid immunoassay designed to detect the
presence of human follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) in urine. FSH is a
glycoprotein hormone produced from the basophilic cells of the anterior pituitary gland. FSH controls the development
of the ovarian follicles in females and acts a negative feedback effect on the hypothalamus.
As the body decreases estrogen production with age or gonadal dysfunction, more FSH is produced. Our FSH menopause urine test is designed to detect FSH at a concentration of 25 mIU/mL or greater in urine, is
helpful in predicting menopause or identifying gonadal dysfunction.
